Module 2 - Navigating Visibility & Inclusion
A grounded starting point for understanding visibility, belonging, and inclusion without losing yourself in the process.
If you live with hearing loss and identify as an introvert, being seen does not always mean being understood.
You may be present, yet overlooked.
You may feel pressure to perform, explain, or compensate.
You may adapt constantly, while others remain unaware of the cost.
Over time, this can lead to masking, emotional exhaustion, and the quiet erosion of your sense of self.
This module was created for that reality.
What This Course Offers
Empowered & Heard doesn’t ask you to perform more convincingly or make yourself easier to include.
Instead, it offers:
- greater awareness of how visibility can become pressure
- language to understand masking and overcompensating
- tools to recognise when adaptation turns into self-erasure
- permission to step back from spaces that cost more than they give
The focus is not on fitting in.
It’s about belonging without losing yourself
